ww1 paloma

This is my creation:

I don't think I have ever done a page of just a picture of me but I quite like how this one turned out. Thank you for checking it out!

Black with Two December challenge

I finally got to do my layout for the Black with Two December challenge.  This is the mood board and sketch:

I really like these colours together but I didn't do a Christmas type layout.  I took photos of my son with his teacher in the last week of school and I decided they fit into the colour scheme perfectly:

Thanks for checking it out!!

123 Challenge Blog December Challenge

I am always in such a rush at the end of the month - but this month more than ever.  I have been lucky enough to get some crafty time the last few nights and I created a layout for the 123 Challenge Blog.  This month their challenge was:

This is my layout:

Colour:  My background paper is watermelon coloured.
Word: My journalling reads 'My little bubble monster, you really are too cute for words!'
Technique:  I have used a tag as part of my title Hello Lovely!

Thanks for taking a look!

Show Us Your Stuff December Challenge

Good morning.  I was up again late last night trying to get some crafty time in whilst the children were asleep.  I started off with the Show Us Your Stuff December challenge which was this bright and beautiful mood board:

I took inspiration from bright colours, the pictures of water, summery theme and the heart up the top and I came up with this:

My handmade item is the Charm's Creations Heavenly Heart.  The title is hard to read but it says "And so it begins" (as I think it will lead to a lifetime of fishing).  I hope you all have a wonderful New Year!

Stuck?! December 1st Challenge

I hope that everyone has had a wonderful Christmas and everyone is looking forward to a year filled with joy and good times in 2015.  Last night I had a crack at the December 1st challenge from Stuck?! which was the following sketch:

I printed out some photos from our visit to Birdland in Bateman's Bay last month as I knew I had multiple photos on the same subject.  This is my layout:

Scrap the Girls December Challenge

Good afternoon!!  I got a chance (finally) to get creative last night and I really wanted to have a go at the Scrap the Girls Challenge - I had this fabulous photo of my little girl with her cousin.  They are both just stunning and they look a bit matchy matchy in their outfits coincidently.  This was taken on Christmas Day but I couldn't wait to make it pretty!  This is what the challenge board looked like:

Gorgeous hey!  And this is my creation:

Thanks for stopping by :D

D-lish Scraps December Challenge

Wow, its been a long time since I have had a chance to scrap, what with Christmas and all the preparations and my eldest and youngest children have their birthdays in January.  I am also preparing to go back to work after being on extended maternity leave from 2 years.  I was so glad to get some time to myself last night and I got creative.

I started with D-lish Scraps. This is the awesome inspiration board:

I also got my hands on one of the just add paper kits and this is what I came up with:

123 Challenge Blog

Hi Everyone!

Last night I decided to attempt the 123 Challenge Blog November Challenge.  This month it is:

I had been considering this challenge for a few days but I was stuck on the colour copper..... I was pretty sure that I didn't have anything copper coloured.  But then it came to me - I was given some metallic cardboard a while back and surely in that stack there would be a piece of copper coloured paper - right?  There was and this is what I came up with:

I used a cool alphabet hand punch so I could include the word good in my title and I did that and one of my picture frames in the copper coloured card.  I used chipboard stars and there are also stars on the flair button on the left.  Thanks for checking it out!

D-lish Scraps

I finally got some me time today and got my scrap on!  I thought I would have a go at the D-lish Scraps November mood board.   Not only do they have a gorgeous colour scheme but a fantastic sketch to go along with it.

I took inspiration from the colours (obviously), the flowers and the little flags in the lower left corner.  This is my layout:

The Charm's Creation map marker has a layer of gold in it and the white paper has gold foil spots on it.  I hope you like it!

Scrap the Boys November Challenge

Yay!  Yesterday was my birthday and I received a new camera from my beautiful family!  Its exactly what I wanted as my last one died some months ago and I had been hanging out for my new one.  I can finally take some decent photos!  So I decided to get the month started with the challenge from Scrap the Boys (I am totally loving the new banner).  This month they have asked us to create a layout that show the softer side of  our boys/men.  I knew straight away which photo I was going to use.  My darling son cuddling my gorgeous friend Alissan's newborn son!  And this is my layout:

Thanks for checking it out :)

Hey!  Hope you are all having a wonderful day.  I have been having fun creating and thought I would have a go at the D-lish Scraps October mood board challenge.  Its a gorgeous mood board that looks like this:

I used a gorgeous photo of my son and a family friend.  I was inspired by the colours, the beautiful textures and the spots....

I used the blue crochet heart, the d-lish dots, little silver heart sequins and the pinkfresh arrows from the D-lish Scraps shop.  Thanks for stopping by!!

White with 1 October Challenge

I finally got some more scrapping done last night.  I am sure my children have a conspiracy going to keeping me from getting some Mumma time!  I have done a really simple layout for White with 1 for the October challenge which is:

Show Us Your Stuff October Challenge

Wow, half the month has already past and I haven't not had much in the way of crafty time.  I have had the kids on school holidays and lots of late nights.  I did this layout the other night but haven't been able to take photos due to the horrendous weather the last couple of days.  Anyway, we had some sunshine this afternoon so I thought I would take the opportunity :)

Show Us Your Stuff has a sketch challenge this month and it looks like this:

This is my layout:

My handmade product is a heavenly heart from Charm's Creations!

Show Us Your Stuff September Challenge

What a gorgeous time of year!  I love spring (almost as much as I love summer) and the challenge over a Show Us Your Stuff is this gorgeous inspiration board:

And this is what I created:

I took lots of inspiration for the colours, the bright green of the grass, the teal of the bikes, the reds, yellows and oranges of the flowers. I love how the heart of butterflies on the inspiration board is dispersing and tried to replicate this with my teal mist and a scattering of chipboard circles.  And of course the flowers themselves.  I really like how this layout turned out!  I hope you like it too!

September 123 Challenge Blog

Good afternoon!

Whilst my darling daughter was taking her nap, I took the opportunity to have a go at the 123 Challenge Blog Challenge for September.  This months challenge is:

I have to say Khaki was definitely a challenge!! I had to dig around through my stash for a while to find something but I think the paper I used as my background works really well.  I used Emphasise as part of my title and I have a shipping tag that has hidden journalling on it on the right hand side.  I also have to tell you I have green spots on my face and hands. My spray ink was blocked and when I blocked it, I managed to squirt it all over myself.

Hope you are having a good Friday and you have an awesome weekend!!

Stuck?! 15 September Sketch Challenge

Good morning!!!

I was up last night working on the 15 September Stuck?! Challenge as the end of the month is sneaking up on me again!  The sketch looks like this:

You know when you work on a layout and you have a picture of it in your head - and it ends up looking nothing like it??  This is what happened to me.  I am not sure I am happy with it but here it is:

Thank you for stopping by :)

D-lish Scraps September Challenge

I am not a pink person, at all.  I am the first to admit it and when I had my daughter I wasn't going to dress her in pink!  But I have soften a little and when I saw the D-lish Scraps inspiration board for September, well I knew I was going to get the Just Add Paper kit!  But firstly let me share the inspiration board aptly named Pink Lemonade:

Gorgeous hey!!!  So I set to work and because the Just Add Paper kit was filled with so many beautiful embellishments, all I added was the cardstock, patterned paper, the pink crochet doily and the yellow twine.

I love the mason jar filled with sequins!!! And of course flair buttons are always one of my favourites!  The tear on the left hand side also has part of the yellow chevron bag behind it so I could do some hidden journalling.  Anyway thank you for taking the time to pop by!

Stuck?! September 1st Sketch Challenge

Good afternoon.  I had a very productive night of scrapping last night and completely the Stuck?! 1 September Challenge which looked like this:

And this is my layout:

The papers are from a paper pad that I 'just had to have' and has been since sitting collecting dust but I thought it worked quite well with theses pictures.  I used crackle paint on chipboard to create the title.  Thanks for checking it out!

Black with Two September Challenge

I don't usually get a chance to scrap much in the day but with both of my boys at school today and my little cherub having a longer than usual nap, I managed to get a whole layout done!!  I started working on the Black with Two challenge last night but wasn't feeling inspired but it came together today!  Their inspiration board and sketch looked like this for September:

The sketch is an interesting one and I wasn't entirely sure what I was going to do with the two black boxes but I think it all turned out ok.

I started out by adding some paint to some texture paste and used a mask to put the chevrons on the cardstock.  I stuck down a couple of stems of felt flowers (which are black) on the background.  I had a bit of an issue with fitting in all my elements so it doesn't reflect the sketch exactly.  I used a glitter foam polaroid frame to frame my journalling and a piece of patterned paper for my title which took the place of the two black boxes on the sketch.  I have used the word bold as part of my title as it suits my daughter so well!  I have used flowers and bows from D'lish Scraps and a flair button from Flutterby Designs.

White with 1 September Challenge

Good morning!  I hope you are all starting to get some nice spring weather.  It has been so much nicer than the horrible Canberra winter the last couple of days!  I sat up last night working on the White with 1 September Challenge which is:

  WW1

I was a bit scared as I am not good with pink but I found a lot of stuff in my stash when I sat down and had a good poke around.  This the layout I came up with:

Thank you for stopping by!
