Wow, you know when you have it in your head how you would like your layout to end looking like. And then it really doesn't. And you don't really like the result but you have put so much time into it. That is exactly what happened to me when work on the D-lish Scraps August Mood Board Challenge. This what the Mood Board looked like:
And this is my layout:
Even my photo turned out pretty dodgy! The little pink flowers, the doily and the big blue satin flower are all from D-lish Scraps. Thanks for stopping by....

123 August Challenge
Over at 123 the challenge for August is:
And this is my layout. I am quite happy with this one and hope you like it too!
As you can see I have used lots of baby pink, there are stripes on a couple of my circles and on the scalloped strip of paper on the left hand side and the word love is in my journalling and on the flair button down the bottom. Thanks for stopping by!

White with 1 August Challenge
I have a had a few nights where I have been so exhausted that I couldn't even be bother to pull my stash out of the cupboard after the kids went to bed, but this morning with the boys both at school and little princess having a nap, I thought I would say stuff the housework for a while and get scrappy..... I thought I better do a layout for the August Challenge at White with 1 which is:
I can do that, right? Black and white - I happen to have a whole pad of black and white papers in my fat max so I had a good basis to start with and then I started going through my embellishments and it seem to come together.

Love this picture of my little man trying on his Uncle's glasses....Hope you all like it too!

Stuck?! 1 August Challenge
I love working from sketches. I am not very good at making my pages balanced without them. Stuck?! always has fantastic sketches and the 1st August one was no exception. Here it is:
I was looking for a pair of photos to use, but couldn't find any that would suit the sketch. I did, however, find this old photo of me with both my boys, which I thought would work well as a single photo rather than the 2 in the sketch. I hope you like it, thanks for stopping by.

This is the layout I came up with:
I have a square frame behind the photo, a rectangle of patterned paper, bunting in the top left corner, a pink circle (I don't know what to call that), a banner with the date on it, a splash of yellow ink in the background and my handmade item is a Charm's Creations Heavenly Heart.
Thanks for taking a look!

Black with Two August Challenge
I have had much time to do much scrapping over the last couple of weeks and I have been missing it! I thought I would have a go at the challenge from Black with Two. The challenge is to use black with grey and ice blue and include the word feeling. They have also provided the following sketch:
This is my layout:
I thought this photo suited the mood board well with the grey and shades of blue. My little man, Jeremy loves to sneak off and have a kip, or just fall sleep where ever he is sitting (on the tiles, on the top of the back of the couch, under his bed etc). I hope you like my interpretation - thank you for taking a look!

Scrap the Girls August Challenge
For August, Scrap the Girls have supplied this gorgeously fantastic mood board to inspire our layouts:
I love purple, I love green, I love aqua, I love the gold in the sunset and I love the texture in the feathers! I am not sure I have really done it justice but here is my layout:
I have used a few Charm's creations and a flair button and some chipboard (the title and the circular frame) to create texture. Its a bit hard to see but the butterfly down the bottom is a deep blue and the ric rac under it is a purple velvet. Thanks for stopping by!

This is the mood board challenge from July over at Life. Paper. Scrapbook:
This the layout I created:
I used some pink, yellow, and blue with a grey/silver (I think the chevron paper looks quite like the silver from behind the word home on the mood board. I used a variety of texture and used the word home! Thanks for checking it out!
