Kraft it Up August Challenge

The Kraft It Up challenge this month is to do something in your own style and include kraft of course!  I found this funky patterned kraft paper and it goes really well with the colours in this picture of my middle baby.  My style usually includes clean lines and colour.  I also have obsessions with flair buttons and Charm's Creations!

Again I have to apologise for the bad night photo!  And this little monkey is watching me - he has woken up and wants cuddles so I best go and sort him out!

123 August Challenge

The 123 Challenge (http://123-challenge-blog.blogspot.com.au/) this month is:
Colour: Cream
Word: Old
Technique: Vintage

Vintage is definitely way out of my normal style but I have attempted it below.  The photo has a cream back ground plus I have used on of Charm's Creations (http://ourbrightstarsandus.typepad.com/charmscreations/charms-creations/) cream and white mini page runners.  I have used the word old in my journaling.

 

I am afraid the pictures not the best due to it being the middle of the night!!

White with One August Challenge

I haven't done a White with One (http://whitewith1.blogspot.com.au/) challenge before - I am not sure I am completely happy how this worked out but here it is. August is white with pastels plus masking.  I tried mixing some acrylic paint with the texture paste - it came out pink even though I was trying to get purple ;op. I did like how the journaling looks - that was a new technique for me too!  Today is Poppy's birthday and he had an operation this afternoon so I though a picture of him with his littlest princess would be nice.

Scrap the Girls August Challenge

This month Scrap the Girls (http://scrap-the-girls.blogspot.com.au/) are doing a recipe challenge so each layout must include:

• masking
• doodling
• flowers
• chipboard

This is my layout:

I have used a mask with texture paste (the first time I have used it!) across the top between the crochet ribbon, I have doodled around to the bottom right of the photo, the title is chipboard that I have lightly inked and there are a bunch of flowers!  Hope you like it!

Scrap the Boys August Challenge

I have already created this layout for the August challenge even though its still the first of the month.  The challenge was to do a monochromatic layout with chipboard and twine. So I picked blue and there is also black, white and kraft - so I hope that still fits within the challenge rules.  Anyway I am loving this layout - hope you do too!
